Family can be made in many beautiful ways. This soon to be family will celebrate the union of Colleen & Mike next month in June. I’m very happy these three are joining together, the 3 of them are so wonderful.
We gathered on one of the first nice warm Sundays this area has had at a favorite area of mine west of York PA. There are vast photo opportunities at this unique state park on the hundreds of acres within the park. I met Colleen, Mike and Lilly in the parking area. We talked a bit and then set off on our photo adventure. The first place we stopped was the beautiful band shell that is so full of different textures and colors. I’m drawn to it a lot for sessions. The opportunities never end. We worked our way around the band shell to the hill leading to the lake where we used the weathered wood wall in the warm late afternoon sun. The blanket I brought along was perfect to next sit on the bank of the lake and capture fun and smiles. As we gathered the blanket and started to walk towards the shoreline, Colleen & Mike ventured just beyond the winter weathered grasses that provided a wonderful foreground to accent their intimate moments. The three of them walked off, hand in hand, having a wonderful conversation I could barely hear in the distance. The time went so fast and we captured such treasured memories as they head off into the next chapter of their lives.
It’s not hard to capture such beautiful images of such beautiful people no matter what the backdrop. Thank you to three of you. This is why I love what I do!
