Newborns are my tiniest clients and let me know exactly what they will do and what they will not do. So when I think of the most perfect little princess… this sweet little girl, Maeve, comes to my mind. A joy to photograph from beginning to end. She slept almost, almost, the entire time. As her daddy stated, “she eventually gave us the stink eye!” Never the less, she was a dream to have in the studio for her newborn session.
Baby Maeve was a stubborn little gal, though. She didn’t want to leave the warm and safe womb of her momma. But I think she got the eviction notice and took it seriously when an induction was scheduled. Just about 18 hours or so before the scheduled time Maeve decided it was time to greet momma and daddy. I was ecstatic to learn of her arrival. Momma and I scheduled the day & time of her newborn session quickly.
Maeve came to see me exactly 6 days new. So sweet and so perfect. And oh so beautiful, just like her momma. Her room is decorated sweetly with lavender, purple, soft green and touches of pink. I carefully selected coordinating setups and props that I have in my studio to coordinate with her room. Sweet baby Maeve transitioned beautifully from each setup. Big brother Cole was very cooperative with my requests to pose with his new baby sister. He was still adjusting to the new addition and was smiling for me quite well. Being a big brother is a huge deal and Cole is going to fill the role well as Maeve grows over the next few months.
It’s so inspiring to see a family creating such a great legacy with forever images. Life is too short not to document every special moment, every special celebration, every special everything. Creating artwork to display in a family’s home with legacy photos is my passion and I will not stop reaching for the best photos for all my clients.
