A family like this makes me love my job so much! And nothing makes me happier than to capture precious family photos. The James family and I have been creating a wonderful legacy with forever images for three years. Dear Jackson is such a joy to spend time with. This year I almost cried when I captured one particular moment with he and his daddy. I KNEW I had the ‘money shot.’ And that inspires and drives me each session to get THAT photo, THAT moment, THAT special everything. Because I know that photo will become a treasured photo. One that Jackson will share with his family someday. It will show just how much his daddy loves him and how life really is precious.
This year was no different than last year. Excitement brewed as I drove to the family home. But once there I was surprised with a new private location in which to capture the family this year. We took a short walk to a beautiful area not far away. The trees were green and lush, and others were blooming with beautiful color. What a fantastic backdrop for this year’s session.
I started with Jackson because, well, he’s adorable. He was great as always. Gave me the cutest poses and the brightest smiles. And I also captured him just being him. A handsome little boy with a huge personality. The family photos brought such joy to us all, creating a slice in time captured forever. As we ended our session, I was sad it went so fast. But Jackson made it all better with a HUGE hug and a tiny, sweet uttering of ‘thank you, Miss Marcy.” Melted me into a puddle right on the spot.
Thank you to the James family for entrusting me as your family photographer for the third year. All of you were absolutely terrific and I had a blast. This is why I love what I do!
