When the mother of the mom-to-be contacted me about her daughter’s baby shower I was excited to know I would be capturing the beginning of a legacy these new parents are creating for their precious baby girl. As we discussed the details, it was going to be an epic event. The rustic private barn where the baby shower was going to be held was to be decorated in a country chic theme for a very intimate tea party. This barn also has special meaning to the family because this is also the location where the parents of the new little peanut had their wedding reception. The barn was ample space to spread out but also perfect to be close with all those attending.
When I arrived the day of the baby shower, I was truly amazed at the beautiful and stunning personal touches entwined with the country chic décor. Just look at the photos below because it’s hard to put into words just how wonderful the mother of the mom-to-be did. She is truly a master at this! Vignette after vignette was created with care and showing the mother’s childhood memories and items, the grandmother’s childhood memories and items, and even the great grandmother’s childhood memories and items. Seeing the historic and meaningful touches surely made this a shower to remember.
The event was catered by the Red Brick Bakery Restaurant, Bakery & Tea Room of Red Lion. Teas were carefully explained before all were to enjoy. From cucumber sandwiches to mini tarts, there was scrumptious food for all to enjoy. As the mom-to-be made her way around the room to visit with everyone, it was plain to see just how much this little girl is going to be loved. And the amount of gifts showered were so wonderful as they were all carefully opened and seen by all.
This shower was so special and so wonderful. Thank you to the family for inviting me to capture this special time.
