York PA Child Photographer, Royce Images Photography, captured the one year session of Maeve at the studio in Jacobus, PA in April. The session was fun and filled with laughter.
As I was checking my monthly calendar as I so often do, I discovered it was that time to contact Maeve’s momma and let her know it was time to think about scheduling her one session that includes a cake smash. This sweet girl was about graduate from her one year baby plan with me. Sadness takes over. Not because she’s about to celebrate her one year milestone but because I will not see Maeve as often after this session. However, I’m happy at the same time to see how wonderfully she has grown and to see that beautiful smile & twinkling eyes.
We set out to custom design the setups for Maeve. She had a beautiful pink dress she would be wearing first. The setup was chosen to be very springy and bright colors. The yellows, pinks and greens of the backdrop along with the yellow spring forsythia flowers worked well. The next setup was to use the same pink dress and then a quick outfit change to her nautical red, white & blue dress. We chose the feminine stars backdrop. Maeve did quite well posing with the numbers I have in the studio for O N E. Momma may choose to use a collage from and display those three photos as 5×7 prints. Little miss Maeve LOVED the studio crate. She laughed and laughed as we worked with her to capture those smiles perfectly.
Next up was the wonderfully messy part… THE CAKE SMASH! The cake was beautifully decorated by Jen May Cakes with sweet pink flowers all over and moist yellow cake inside. At first Maeve wasn’t sure about her cake. She started gingerly with just the icing but after a while she got the hang of it. Such a sweet girl and had fun with her one year cake!
