York PA Senior Photographer, Royce Images Photography, captured Ben for his high school senior session on location in the York County area. Documenting this milestone session for Tanner and his parents was an honor and a pleasure!
Tanner’s mom wanted to celebrate his upcoming 2018 high school graduation with a senior milestone session. So his mother contacted me by email to get the process started. We talked about the goals and desires Tanner had for his session, and we scheduled the session to occur a few weeks later.
Senior Tanner and I began our time together at Sam Lewis Park in Wrightsville.
As we met in the parking lot and discussed outfit options, in rolled Tanner’s grandparents with the most beautiful classic GTO I’ve seen in a long, long time. What a perfect addition to the session! We asked grandad to place the car accordingly for the best photos of Tanner with this magnificent machine. When we began, Tanner was a bit stiff and cautious. But as we worked together, and he loosened up a bit, we began to create a bit of magic. Before you knew it, he was up for just about anything I asked of him. SUPER!
Next Tanner and I traveled down to river area of Wrightsville.
It was a bustling area adjacent to the river. We parked, gathered our belongings, and trekked to the area I know would be best for Tanner. By this point, Tanner had no problems giving me that glowing and warm smile. He really came into his own during this part of the session. We talked, we laughed, and we most definitely captured his personality. Dad was right there to help and be my assistant. BONUS! Putting parents to work always pleases a senior. And Tanner was no exception.
We finished our time together in downtown York and we utilized several cool urban areas of the city.
Downtown York provides a plethora of wonderful urban opportunities. Tanner and I made our way to some of my favorite places including Cherry Lane and the alley ways nearby. I have no problem climbing, squatting, and lying on the ground. Whatever it takes to engage with my subject and capture forever images. Tanner was really having fun at this point. And the smile on his face surely showed it. We did some awesome stuff together. Working magic with each other. Each time we changed location for the next set of photos, I was sure to show him what we just created together. He was pleased, and so was I.
We ended our session together in the alley with his car purchased just a few days earlier. It was almost dusk and the ambient light mixed with my flash highlighted Tanner. What a wonderful time with a super guy. Thanks to Tanner’s parents for entrusting me with his senior photos.
