Birthday sessions are so wonderful and so sad at the same time for me as a photographer. Dear, sweet Alliyaha was no exception. I had the true pleasure of photographing her as a newborn, sitting up at six months, and now at one year of age. Her first year has been a wonderful year together with me and watching her grow and blossom. Time just passes to quickly for me and these sessions. I adore children and love working with them in their first year.
This darling little girl came into the studio for her one year old birthday and cake smash session bright eyed. Momma promptly changed her into the most beautiful soft blue dress adorned with flowers. I had three different setups for Alliyaha. We spent time in each one having fun and working with her mom and aunt to get some hilarious facial expressions. She was a trooper and we captured some great keepsake photos. Including the grand finale of her cake smash. She wasn’t so sure at first about this but with some encouragement from all three of us she started to like it a bit. And at one point as you will see in the photo below her face even became one with the cake. My oh my!
Nothing makes me happier than to capture precious children photos. Thank you to the Alliyaha’s family for entrusting me to document her first year. I’ve enjoyed it immensely and can’t wait to see her again soon. This is why I love what I do!
