York PA High School Senior Photographer, Royce Images Photography, captured the Connor at Rocky Ridge Park in York, PA in November. The session was spent exploring, chatting, and so much smiling!
I had the privilege to capture senior photos of Connor’s sister, Caitlyn, 18 months ago. Now this year I had the distinct privilege to capture Connor for his senior photos. I was very excited when dad contacted me to reserve time in my schedule for his son. We chatted about the plan and flow of the session, guiding dad what to expect and how to plan.
Connor and Dad arrived at the session with a very sketchy weather forecast. Possible rain was predicted for later in the day. We knew we had a chance of raindrops so we began to walk immediately to our first spot and get started. We took advantage of the hazy sun for our first set of photos. Connor did wonderfully as we walked into brush, on rocks, and through the grass paths. Then the clouds started to creep their way towards us. Luckily dad brought along an umbrella just in case. We next worked around the overlook and down below to the rocks Connor and his family like to climb, hike and explore. We stopped at the nearby large upright rock forms I try to always incorporate into senior sessions at this location.
As all three of talked and laughed even more clouds began to descend even thicker and darker that only 15 minutes prior. We worked our way into the foliage areas. We tried to have a bit more fun with leaves, and couldn’t stop laughing. As we were finishing with the tall trees and shorter bushes, the drops started to fall from the sky. YAY! We completed the session just in time. We walked back to the parking lot and parted as the drops started to become more steady. Connor was such a joy and we captured genuine photos that speak about him.
