York PA Family Photographer, Royce Images Photography, captured the Lake Family in the studio for their Easter session. So many laughs, so many antics. All for great smiles that were captured.
April and her sister, Jennifer, were the recipients of a portrait session gift certificate from their dad at the holiday season in 2015. I’ve known their dad for a few years and always glad when he sends me referrals and thinks of me to capture his precious family.
Spring 2016 brought April and I together through email and we started the process of planning the Lake Family portrait session that includes her sister, her son, and her niece. This session was to celebrate this stage of their lives and document Cody and Rylee as they are growing up so fast. And these two cousins are more like brother and sister than anything. It’s great to witness the special relationship they have with each other as we created forever moments in photographs.
We met at a gorgeous location on a very warm and sunny spring morning. I was excited as soon as I meet them in the parking lot. We chatted briefly about the goals and desires April sent to me in the portrait session questionnaire. Rylee was more than eager to be the first face in front of my camera. She gave me a huge smile that reflects her exuberant personality. I just don’t know how it fits into that tiny little body of hers! However, it brims right over for all to see.
Next up was Cody and he didn’t disappoint me. As we started the first pose, he told me of a pose idea he had. We moved to his area and my goodness, he gave me some great stuff. This kid is going to be a heart breaker some day with those eyes and his smile. Watch out, April!
I then began to focus on April and Jennifer. So sweet and adorable, and they were smiling as Rylee is assisting me to make them laugh. Hilarious and so much fun! We wandered to another area full of tall, flowing grass. Perfect to have the four of them stand together and use the grasses as a great foreground element. Cody and Rylee were laughing and giggling so much, so sweet to see.
We finished our time together with a few final photos by the barn area. So easy for Cody and Rylee to stand together and smile, they truly are like a brother and sister. Much love can be seen between them. Of course we had to have those wonderful momma and child photos, too! Such a great session with the Lake Family.
