York PA Wedding Photographer, Royce Images Photography, captured the wedding of Renee & Carla Jefferies on a beautiful day in September at a private & quaint residence in the southern part of York County.
From the moment I met Renee & Carla for their wedding consultation at the studio, I could feel the room fill with the love these two have for each other. They made me laugh numerous times as we weaved our way through each detail, each question, and each bit of information to build my knowledge of exactly what they envisioned for their special day. It was 13 years in the making since these two lovelies found each other. And now they wanted to make it official to the world they were a match made in heaven.
The day of the wedding was beautiful. Bright sun filled the sky and the air was warm. Clouds moved into and out of the sky as they day passed by. I began by shooting the little details that I love so much to capture. The dress, the shoes, the flowers, the invitation, the rings. I finished and made my way inside to catch a glimpse of the gorgeous bride. We laughed as we weaved our way through all the photos of the ladies getting ready. This group was so much fun!
I made my way to the ‘man cave’ to meet up with Carla and they guys. And my oh my, this place was full of loud laughter and jokes. Such a fun atmosphere. Everyone got down to business getting into their wedding attire. We went outside to capture some classic shots as well as some not to classic shots. Next, I prepared Carla for the first touch with Renee. They loved being able to talk to each other and feel each other. They wanted to honor tradition and not actually see each other before the ceremony.
The guests settled into their seats as the music began for the processional. All the guys took their places and then as rehearsed the night prior, Carla took her designated spot and awaited my cue. As Renee came through the door I told Carla just how beautiful she looked. And at the precise moment Carla turned to see her beautiful bride. She was overcome with emotion and I captured each gasp and each tear that rolled down her face. It was a truly beautiful moment for me to capture and experience. The ceremony was beautiful and meaningful. And before you knew it, they kissed and laughed as they were now officially wed. Cries of joy and applause filled the air.
As the guests enjoyed appetizers and refreshments, the wedding party and family had a grand time with photos. We laughed so much my cheeks hurt. We preserved time with photos. Much love was felt through viewing those photos during the editing process.
The reception was wonderful and many people joined in celebration with Renee and Carla. And for the first time I dance with the newlyweds. You can actually see me in a cameo photo captured by my assistant.
From the moment the day began to the last guest leaving at the conclusion of the evening, the wedding of Renee & Carla was magical. What a wonderful honor to be part of their day.
