As the day approached for the Sipe’s photography session, I was getting more and more excited. I’ve know mom for just about a year now and when she asked me to capture these time in her family’s life, I was delighted. Four wonderful kids, each with their own identity. I knew I was in for a treat. Mom expressed to me she didn’t want the “posey photos”. To which I was happy to oblige. Candid, in the moment photos definitely are a great way to capture a person’s true being.
When all of us meet in the parking area of the local park, it was the youngest who first captured my heart. With her shy demeanor yet adorably cute smile, I was determined to win her over. And by the end we were doing well. Next in line with age was the youngest of the two boys. He was shy at first as well. ANOTHER one I was going to win over. And that I did. Reaching a young child through a positive session experience is one of the true joys of what I do. Children melt my heart and I just love working with them. From the youngest to the oldest, we had quite a few laughs and a multitude of smiles. And THAT translates into a great session when I can show their true personality with my photos. Each child was so wonderful and mom & dad were great. The time went by so fast and I was sad to see our time together end.
What a true delight to be asked to capture family photos for this wonderfully amazing, funny, comical and loving bunch. Thank you very much for allowing me to preserve a slice in time that shows everyone’s beautiful personality. I had a blast and hope to be with all of you again in the fall.
