York PA Family Photographer, Royce Images Photography, captured the Smyers Family session at a local park during the splendor of the fall colors. What a great time we had!
To celebrate the 45th wedding anniversary, mom and dad asked their daughters and the families to have a family photo session. What a wonderful way to celebrate a milestone!
The day of their family session was warm and overcast, this highlighted the fall colors and their wonderfully selected wardrobe. All of their smiles shone brightly and we were destined to capture some really, really great moments.
We gathered at the amphitheater portion of the park, chatting about some of the best photos to highlight the family. We started or time together with some full family photos, making sure to have all the kids fresh and not timed of photo time. This photo was the most important to mom and dad for their 45th anniversary celebration.
We rounded out this portion of the session at the amphitheater capturing mom and dad with their grandkids, then with the individual sister’s families.
Moving to some nearby paths, we started to focus on the grandkids. They grow up so fast and it’s very important to capture them along the way.
All four of the kids were perfect. Some were more camera friendly than others but I worked my hardest to get them to laugh at me. Running, jumping, making silly sounds… that’s all part of what I have up my sleeve to elicit engagement with kids. And I pulled out all the stops this day.
When we rounded up all the kids together for one photo, I enlisted the help of the adults. We all worked to get them to look right at me, all at the same time.
Remembering that the session was to celebrate the 45th anniversary, we were sure to feature mom and dad. Because they were the ones who started this wonderful family!
Mom and dad wanted to keep their portion short and sweet. However, I was determined to really give them wonderful moments captured to commemorate this wonderful wedding anniversary milestone. In today’s world, celebrating 45 years of marriage is something to shout from the mountain top.
